As an extension of responsibilities for a brand owner, it was mandated by MPCB (Maharashtra Pollution Control Board) in its latest plastic ban notification of PWM Rule’16 (Plastic Waste Management Rule), to collect and dispose all post-consumer plastic waste material generated by the company.
As a socially aware company FAL is committed to recover & responsibly dispose off upto 100% of the community plastic waste in collaboration with our disposal partners.
Together with our recyclers, we have initiated a post-consumer plastic waste disposal plan, where the waste is segregated into two broad spectrums of multi-layer and mono layer packaging, basis which the recovered waste is converted into either reprocessed granules, poly-fuel or used in road construction applications.
In the same light, we intend to further minimize our environmental footprint by practicing the 4R’s approach: ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover’ for all our waste; as we grow our presence globally.
